Thanks, once i get an Acoustic Kit i was thinking of going for a Wood snare as my electronic kit as some professional drum samples of....Maple, Oak, Birch and Beech kits the snares all sound...
Just wondering what type of Snare you guyz prefer....ie, Wood, Steel, Brass, Aluminium ect....and why do you have this particular preference.....do certain materials give a paticular sound or feel?...
I think Aquiles Priester is a superb Drummer but like you say on his audition he never nailed it like some of the others.
I like that advice....i played Bass and Guitar for many years and learnt scales and modes, chord inversions, intervals ect but it doesn't make you a better player i became reasonably knowledgeable on...

As a beginner i don't really know where to start with rudiments i practice a few paradiddles and single and double stroke roles but if i'm practicing on just my snare i always start practicing...
