    Re: Remember

" Shoot, I forgot what I was going to say".

Hey Bish, welcome to my world. My GF is amazed that I can remember what she wore on that 1st (blind) date, how she sat in my car, the look on her...

    Re: Remember

Thanks Tom, the thought is deeply appreciated.

The years go by so fast. I remember August 15th 1965. It was just about 3 months before I went in to the service and we were having dinner. My...

    Remember

Remember what tomorrow means. It's my 53rd Memorial Day and as each 1 passes it brings out more emotion than the last 1.

Come September 1st, I will have been home for 54 years (actually I...

    https://youtu.be/AJAuy75cgGU

At the beginning I spent too much time talking (writing) about 3 other drummers "Master Class".

Skip to about 7 minutes and avoid that and at the end...

"I just beat on the cave ladies' head with my club".

I did like that idea but seems I lost it when I left Jersey. Must be something in the air in North Carolina.

    Re: Bass drum creep

    Yeah Rick, that too.

My 1st set was a log and 2 leg bones (I didn't ask where they came from) I didn't get too many ladies but did draw more than a few animals that appeared to want to...

    Re: Bass drum creep

Rick, that's a great idea, the downside is that when I started with my plywood T, crates were all made out of wood. I had to wait for the Bronze Age to get cymbals!!!!!

    Re: Bass drum c

I had a piece of 1/4" plywood cut into the shape of a T that the BD sat on with holes for the spurs WITH the rubber tips on them. The plywood ran back so my stool could sit on it. That sat on a...

    Re: Spring is Here!!!!!!

Just in case nobody noticed it, Spring arrived March 20th, not the middle of April.

I will give you this, it was a lot closer to the actual time of the arrival of Spring than calling it in...
  15. Re: Biggest changes in drum gear the last 30 years?

Before 1 buys weighted sticks why not cut some strips of duct tape and put them where you think you might like the extra weight to be.

As for the Tune Bot and/or drum dial, they might be good to...

Slinky, there might be some old Super 8 stuff down in south Jersey but I have no idea who might have it.

I don't think so but a 13x9 probably would and a 14x10 would probably be better.

    Re: Attack

All things being equal, I doubt that there would a noticeable difference.

If it was a 10x7 and a 16x16, you would probably notice something.

  25. Re: Strange drummer question . Are most drummer good at painting?

That's 1 of those questions that I will ponder for, no, wait, pondering done.

Actually I was going to paint the Mona Lisa but someone beat me to it, so I then started on the Last Supper only...
