I’ve completed the entire book! Finally did it April of this year. But yeah, not too many of us. I think I’ve seen about 3 other people say they completed the book on various other forums. I would...

So sorry for this late reply! I don’t seem to be receiving any notifications.. anyway, I’m happy you figured it out! What BPM are you practicing the book at? I played all left foot hi hat patterns...
Thanks for the encouragement! I wasn’t sure what to expect before posting my comment and it’s totally fine if there aren’t any more responses… just thought I’d put it up anyway for anyone who might...
Blast from the past! I wonder what ever happened to OP?
As for me, 11(!) years later, I'm happy to report that I've completed the basic 39 systems + Basic Reading pages! I'm currently working...
Not really, I did Stick Control just with my hands and mainly on the snare/pad. So while my hands might be fast on their own, I need to put some time in learning to get around the toms/drums. I was...
Thanks so much for your helpful reply! I do own Stick Control and have worked through it both with my hands and feet. Every now and then I pick it up and work on it between the limbs (hand/foot...
Calling all owners of this book! How are you practicing out of it? For example:
1. How much time do you spend on each exercise?
2. How many pages do you work on per day?
3. What are some goal...

Like I said, I use an app called 30/30 that keeps everything in check. It might look like a lot, but if you look closely you'll see that I'm really only doing 25 minutes of practice at a time,...
I agree, but I purchased George Kollias's double bass drumming book last month and he seems to argue that his book is the best! It hasn't gotten here yet so I'll have to see it to believe it....
Really the main reason why I'm practicing as much as I am is because I CAN. Nothing wrong with practicing for 30 minutes, an hour or two hours a day, as long as it's focused and consistent.
I do have The Weaker Side but practicing it was extremely boring to me. I couldn't keep the workouts up. I would rather really zone in on the left foot doing straight up bass drum stuff.
Pedal...
Sure! The app is called 30/30, based on the Pareto Principal. It's free too! It is probably the best way to stay organized and productive, and is such a beautifully written app. You can use it in...
This is my "daily" practice routine. But this might change if let's say I start getting busier, ie: I have rehearsals/gigs/other work related stuff during the day, etc. In this case, I would probably...
I have been playing around 6 - 7 years. I have fiddled with double bass for about 2 years now. I can play alternating singles heel up (full leg) at 110 bpm, maximum speed. I can do quads and stuff...
I have ample time during the day so that's why my practice routine looks like this. My primary goal is to gain speed in double bass drumming. But I realize that I must first strengthen my left foot...

Wow, you are very lucky to own a Macbook Pro, and get one for Christmas. Be grateful! People pay top dollar for a machine like that. I bought my own and I do a million and one things with it.

Wrong. Everybody is wrong. Ringo is better than all of us. Still,
I WIN
I am definitely a better drummer than anyone on this forum. That means only one thing, of course...
I win.

Haha You may be right!!!
Seriously though, I went through a similar experience. When I first got the book in 2005, I was so overwhelmed by the amount of material it contained. I started practicing...
OP, how has this routine come along for you? Still sticking to it?
I am currently working through this book as well. I do a System a week. I play 2 pages of the reading exercises a day. All at 60...
