A USB audio interface could work. Have a look at the Behringer U-phoria or Focusright scarlett. Shouldn't be too expensive because you only need one input.

It is only a tiny bit larger ,possibly 2 millimetres, but i don't have a dremel unfortunately
it's a stagg brand, which is pretty cheap, but it's double braced and very sturdy
The other day i ordered a Roc n Soc drum throne which came today. I took my old throne top off the base and tried to put the new one onto the base, but the roc n soc's mount was too small to fit on....
