i have have the same db pedal, its pretty good. i did change all the bearings and springs, so its really not quite stock. but its a super cheap mod for a great db pedal.

for the sound you described you like, i would focus more money on cymbals and more of them. the set for the sound you want does not need to be top end. as far as heads i think you would love the...
