Thanks for all of these great suggestions everyone!! And NPYYZ, Dream Theater and bands such as them seem interesting, so I will be quite busy for the next few years ;)
Ok, so I have been drumming along to bands such as Green Day, The Killers, Tool (I try), and Smashing Pumpkins. But these bands, besides Tool, are getting a bit too easy to play along to. I just need...
That was impressive! I think I have found my new
Inspiration.
Try drumming along to a few Tool tracks. I would only suggest these if you have some experience with odd timing, though...
That really is an amazing looking (and sounding) snare drum! I played one at my instructors house and I was giggling the whole time :D
All of these kits are great guys! Keep it up!
Dazzlermac, love your The Killers reference ;D
I'm going to agree with PB here. Xs20's are great cymbals! I own 2 crashes (16 and 18) and the 14 high-hats. I got these new and they were each around 120-160 USD so I imagine you might be able to...

Oh my dear god, that kit is amazing INDIGLO
PANCAKES!!!!!!!
Home Recording Studio or Job????
How is the 20" kick?? Can peopl in the audience hear cuz it's so small??
I would get a DW brass for the rock and roll kit. I don't know much about jazz, same goes for the jazz drums
Looks very nice!! I have always wanted to play a kit with the smaller bass of to the right...
The way I look at it:
Drums or (money+house+wife/girlfriend)?? DRUMS!!!!
Mine:
DW Collectors in Emerald Fade over Birds-eye maple
All the drums would be maple, except for snare

Looks amazing, how much did those run you??
For my 16 I tune to about 1-1(1/2) past finger tight on both batter and reso.
I like the B8 ride that I have, it is just way to quiet...
Very nice, I'll bet they'll sound great!!
