    Re: Headphones/In ear monitors

Bit of a delayed response I know - but if anyone is still looking at this stuff or curious, I'm using Shure SE425 earbuds and they are amazing. Their isolation abilities are brilliant and the sound...

I got a Yamaha DTXtreme III (the standard 5 piece, not the Special which has the extra tom and cymbal), but am using acoustic cymbals. This kit is magical, the sound it produces is just so amazing,...

    Re: Beginners Songs/Exercises

I think people missed this question mate...

A simple answer is that paradiddles in themselves are rarely used in a song, but the rudiment itself is used to learn control, and build technique....
  6. Re: Is it unhealthy to listen to a metronome through headphones?

I don't see how this would be beneficial to be honest. I mean think about it... even if the subliminal impacts DID work (and based on my own research, I think this is more BS and a misunderstanding...
  7. Can't Believe it, but I actually get to post in this part of the forum

So, I have not been on here in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages, but now that I've got a band up and running, I thought I'd do something and come back for a visit and post about it.

    We are called...

    Re: Double Pedal/3-Leg Hi-Hat Stand

Not sure about anyone else, but maybe try putting the left kick pedal on the OTHER side of the hi hat pedal. I know it sounds weird, but you may find this is easier too - just another opinion/option...

    Re: playing along....

More than likely this is the case. With the right pedals, technique and setup it is possible to do and if anyone is going to be in that position, someone like Dennis Chambers would be a one of those...

    Re: Headphones/In ear monitors

I always thought I was pretty decent too - until I started playing with a click. Then I realised just how far off my timing actually was - never going back.

    Re: Headphones/In ear monitors

    There's lots of options.

Shure obviously make top-notch stuff, but do you just need earphones or do you need an entire monitor/foldback unit? The reason I ask is because that actually helps...

Re: when to replace drum heads?

I agree with everything the others said - although I beleive from my research previously around every three months is the average time frame for a kit played on a regular basis.

    Re: Pedal Size

Axis Longboards are the obvious answer to this. Also Tim Waterson advertises a product which essentially clips onto your board and lengthens it for you - can't remember what it is called.

    Re: Pearl Demon Drive Eliminators

In the stores they tend to keep these adjusted to the lighter factory setting, I tweaked that before I even tested them out at home to the heavier feel they have - you may be impressed yet.

I test drove one of these recently actually when I was shopping for pedals - good, but didn't have the versatility, or quite the best left foot action IMO. But I would definately rate them as good as...

    HI guys,

Did a search and didn't see anything on it here so I figure I'm gonna break the news to you. Pearl has created what may be the best thing to come from a major manufacturer in a long,...
