Easiest for freezing/boiling point (32 - 212), but what about all the temperatures between.
Metric doesn't have near enough divisions, without using fractions or decimals.
The metric system makes sense for length.
No sense at all for temperature though.
Is this a trick?
The first thing I noticed about this forum is that if you mention a drum set or cymbal and provide a link to it, someone removes the link.
I think that's totally ridiculous,...
Ludwig Keystones = Yes.
Go for it. :punk:
There was one at least: http://www.gretschdrums.com/?fa=drums&sid=719
They were really nice looking drums. Can't say that I got to try them out though.
Star prices are a little out of line.
The new Gretsch stuff should give Mapex a run for its money though.
Gretsch too: http://www.moderndrummer.com/site/2014/12/showroom-gretsch-adds-walnut-birch-renown-series/#.VMKqPy71DYh
I have both those cymbals and pretty much like them equally.
In your video though, I like the Sweet Ride better.
I have those same cymbals that I bought as a pack - 14 New Beats, 16 and 18 Fast Crashes, and 21" Sweet Ride.
Took a chance on an unheard/unplayed pack, and ended up liking them all.
Hi hats - 14" New Beats
Ride - 20" Zildjian K Custom Dark
Zildjian New Beats - all sizes
Zildjian K Ride 20"
Zildjian Sweet Ride 21"
Zildjian K Dark Thin Crash 18"
Sabian APX Medium Ride - 24"
Looks fantastic. That's one heck of a strange looking throw off on there though.
Does it work smoothly?
If it ain't broke - don't fix it.
I normally don't care for racks too much, but GuiCeeAddict - the way you have yours set up looks really good.
I especially like the arrangement of the three forward toms. Looks great.
:punk:
I had 14" depth for the longest time.
The ones I have now are 15, 16 and 17.
I plan on cutting down the 17" to 14" - maybe even a little shallower.
The first set is A Customs and the other two are Standard A's. Best to try some out to see which you prefer.
I got a similar set of A's a while back and like all of the included cymbals.
It had...
I'd say go try some 13" snares. I much prefer them to my 14's.
If you want to stay with Mapex, take a look at the 13" Blaster or Cherry Bomb.
There are snares that sound real good for less money...
You got a super deal on a great little kit. Fun to play and they sound real good.
Around here, the Club Date is priced a little over your stated budget.
A very nice kit though. You can probably find a used one for under 700.
Sonor has a bop kit with an 18" bass drum. But they also came out with a similar 'Players' kit that has a 20" bass drum.
So far, you can only get it at Sam Ash. But it will probably be available...
I haven't tried the Crush kit, but the Breakbeats sounds pretty good for what it is.
I agree about the 18" bass drum though. Playing something smaller is OK for fun, but I wouldn't buy one like...
No doubt about it.
But the thread was for favorite bop kit for $1,000 or less.
Those sound like they'd be a great kit. I just got back into drumming a couple years ago, and hadn't heard of them.
I'd like to see Ludwig make more kits with 18' Bass drums.
Unless you special...
I'm pretty sure the Epics only come with 22 or 24" bass drums.
They're 16, 18, or 20" deep though. Unless you had one special made or something.
Anyways, I like the Epics. They're neat looking...
