Great suggestions, I want to add that you might want to start slow, make sure you have all the parts down correctly then start going faster. You don't want to get sloppy just because you're going...
That looks sweet, I'd probably fall off the back though, knowing me haha!
Well at the moment I like to use my 18" Sabian B8 Thin Crash, but I'd like to replace it, so that's what I'm livin' with.
Well, I have a stick bag that I lean on my bass drum, but that's full of percussion ensemble stuff I use (Mallets for marimba and concert sticks...) but I also have one of those little bags you put...
Wow, those look awesome! I'm thinking about getting a kit that size later on, just to play around on.
A giant wooden banana?
Sweet, I played Quads for my pep band this past year, and plan to do the same this year. I love those things lol. Sextets are sweet though.
I usually have my top head tuned slightly tighter than the bottom, but then again, maybe I'm thinking backwards... grrr... Also, on my FS Series snare, which is the same as yours, I had the snares...
Ah ok I get it now lol. Those still look pretty sweet.
Sweet kit, I'd love to see a video as well! So, are those Yamaha drum pads, like practice pads or what? I'm confused on that one.
I use a bit of both myself, I'll probably learn Traditional a bit more over the next few years just to mess around on the marching snare with the guys in percussion class lol.
That's a sweet Roger's kit dude! I know my drum teacher has a Roger's kit he gigs with, that is the stuff of legends around the Percussion classes. We always try to get him to bring it to school for...
Oh ho ho the FS series snare. I have one too, and well it's a pain. I found the easy fix was to put one of those rings on it, and having a slow moment right now is stopping me from remember the name....
Fiacovaz, as far as my experience goes "The Battery" is synonymous with The Drumline not the pit. Unless I've been hearing my drum instructors wrong...
The platinums are wonderful! I'd love to have a set of those, but my FS series are just fine. I'd imagine those are made in a similar way the DW kits are, since it is probably one of the better PDP...
We have a thing we play in our band called Gooch for that, it's triplet based. I'll have to look around for it...
Oh man! That thing is crazy lol. Do you thing Guinness has a world record for that?!
Congratulations! I wish I could get some gigs lol, but sadly just putting a band together here sucks. Hope this leads to great things!
I love my Sabian XS20 Medium Hi Hat top and matching Bottom. Apparently they're comparable to the Zildjian A New Beats... Either way I love them!
Well, I'd use Steve Gadds, but everytime I buy a pair someone at school steals them... But right now I use some Jack DeJohnette or Buddy Rich signature sticks. Both are Jazz/Fusion, and modified 5As...
Oh I love it. I like to bring out these two very different elements in the steel band I play in for school. I'm hoping to have my Trajon, and Pedal Cajon for when it starts again. As well as my Bongo...
Yes a Cajon thread! I currently have a Snare Cajon, and a Bongo Cajon as well ^_^. I'm gonna get the Snare Bongo Cajon, a Pedal Cajon, and something real awesome I found, called the Trajon. I was...
I love cymbals, almost as much as tenors. I'm actually going to try out for the indoor cymbal line next year, to let out the artsy drummer in me =D
From what I've looked at the Quad Logic book I'd say it's pretty good! There's another book, that's more of a stick control type of book, but it's like the Percussion Bible, so my teacher says. I'm...
Shoot, we had a thing we'd do in the pit just for the heck of it, I think we called it Chopping out... but it was an exercise where we played certain chords, as eighth notes, and well when we...
