  1. Re: Recording from EZ Drummer / Superior Drummer

    Hello Grace,

Superior Drummer has a 'bounce' feature, which will render each microphone track into separate wav files once you've got the MIDI you're happy with. I use it for demos -very useful.

    Re: Drummers pay

I play for 'pocket money' and have a day job. I'Il get between £45 and £60 per gig on average - diesel costs a fortune at the moment so I'd say about £10 of that will account for the journey (usually...

Fantastic stuff. Love your sound - those cymbals are lovely too; the ride sounds especially good.

Re: John Mayer - Neon drum cover

    Hello Grace :)!

Many thanks for your kind words.

The sounds are from Superior Drummer 2.3, using the Hit Factory expansion - I was surprised at how much the snare in particular just fitted with...

John Mayer - Neon drum cover

    Hello folks,

We're having our annual weekend-long snow flurry in January that's bringing the entire country to a halt. So, I've been stuck indoors playing my drums which is no bad thing I suppose...

    Re: traps

    Hello Mark.

I have the remnants of a Traps E450. It survived a year. Despite the excellent aftersales service from Traps, it just isn't in the same league as something like a Roland TD3 (which I...

    Re: Premier Genista

    Hello!

I have a 2011 Genista Birch kit and I love it! The drums absolutely sing! They tune well and look gorgeous. I'm smitten with mine.

    Re: Drum Roadie Killed

So tragic. Scott was very well-loved and well-known in the business; a gifted man who loved his work.

    Re: E-drums and Superior Drummer

    Great video. Great drummer!

The pad sensitivity in MIDI terms is down to the pads/module configuration. You can change the velocity curve in Superior Drummer, though.

    I use Superior Drummer...

    Re: Moving on.

I guess I didn't do it sooner want to admit to myself that things probably wouldn't improve. It's hard because you invest financially and emotionally in something so to admit something like that is...

    Re: Moving on.

No offence taken; I think this will be the case as well but I didn't want to admit it for fear of seeming like a douche. They're getting rid of the PA, which is why I think it'll be cleaner to sell...

    Re: Moving on.

Thanks for your reply. I have thought of this. The problem there is how does the P.A get divided? How is it valued? I'd rather wait until it's all sold (unless there's something that just can't be...

Thanks for this:). The guitarist is still in the band. The other two guys were happy to just gig whenever he was free from his other band and work their schedules around that. Should I wait until the...

Re: Ion Drum Rocker Electronic Drum Brain

    Hello there,

I don't think you will be able to because it doesn't seem like it's a 'brain' as such - more a controller - I don't think it will generate any sounds. It doesn't seem to have that...
  20. Re: What song will you never, EVER play again (if you can avoid it)?

'Losing my Religion' by REM. It's a great song but it sounds awful live, especially when you sound nothing like REM.

  22. Michael Jackson - Earth Song - Drum Cover.

    Moving on.

    Re: handling negative feedback

I agree with a lot of what's been said so far.

For me, I look at how qualified the person is to give the criticism and from what perspective they're looking from. If it's an experienced solo...
