    Re: Powder coating

Thanks for the posts. I spoke with the builder and he told me to stick with the chrome hardware. The kit will be a satin black with some red accents, and he said the chrome will make it pop.

Re: One up, two down setup figured out!

My new kit will be a one up, two down. I typically play two up, two down, but decided to go with something a little different and with some different tom sizes.

    Re: Which compact Drumset?

I have a Ludwig Breakbeats kit - 14 inch snare, 10 and 13 inch toms, 16 inch kick - that I use for such occasions. It is great for smaller gig locations, rehearsals, etc.

We are in a fickle time period, for sure. In my area the only bar gigs are jams, and a few lucky bands from the jam get to perform at the local yearly festival. There are some street parties as well,...

Re: We got signed for a cool gig in June

Found out today the headliner is requesting the opening acts use a backline, so I don't have to haul as much stuff now. All I'm required to bring is a snare, kick pedals, and my sticks.
