    Re: Student Model Snare Drums

I have a Luddy Blackrolite, from the 90's I guess, all original same old heads. I play it regularly. Sounds great.
  3. Re: Rick Allen - "I Honestly Thought That Was It' For My Drumming Career"

I have a lot of respect for the whole band. Most other bands would have said" Too bad, dude" and found another drummer.

    Bullseye Heads

Anybody here use Bullseye heads? Put a set on my toms. They are clear, 2 ply, pinstripe. Tune up easily and sound real good. Tuned to the same tension(375 on Drum Dial). I like them.

    Drum Show Finds

Yesterday at the Delaware Drum Show I scored a couple of great buys. Got a Blackrolite and stand plus a 50's vintage 20 in. Paiste Stanbul ride(for a more swishy sound). It's always a great little...

I'm going there next month. I'll see if I can bring one home for ya.
  8. Re: What's the most "unique" item you carry in your stick bag?

When I go to jams or open mic nights I always bring a clip on muffler. Lots of guys don't know how to tune a snare.
  9. Re: Name that song! - Iconic Drum Beats that Everyone Would Recognize

Back in the day, I used to love playing Hollywood Nights too.

Re: Kit you've had the longest?

Still have my Lugwig Standard bass ,snare, hi-hat, snare and cymbal stands, and bass pedal that I purchased in '72 from The Drum Shop in Wilmington, Delaware. Lost the toms in a fire.

  20. Re: Bought a used drum set. I bet you can’t guess the make.

Just saw this. My "little" set has 10 ,12, and 13 in. Mapex Venus toms and my old 20 in. Ludwig Standard bass. Keeping my eye out for a 20 in. Venus bass. Love playing this set.
