Just bought them - Catalina Club Jazz.
Thanks, just bought it.
Hi all,
Looking to replace my Mapex V Series with a Catalina Club. Would it be worth it sound wise? The mahogany shells are a good sign.
Anyone have any experience with the Catalina Clubs? Mahogany shells.
The V Series is categorised more as a "traditional rock" kit, however my tastes have changed to more of an R&B/Funk style. I'm looking for a drier, deeper sound and from what I've heard the...
Yes, a high mid and floor with a Ludwig Acrolite snare.
I believe these are the sizes:
18" x 22" bass
8" x 10" and 9" x 12" toms
16" x 16" floor tom
5-1/2" x 14" wood snare
OK, obviously the only issue is that I'll have a mismatching set but I can look past it. I do like the idea of having a small set, something easy to play..
Thanks! Any Mapex kits with particularly shallow toms?
Well the same price as the Breakbeats really, which is £240. Comes with everything including travel bags, pretty much brand new. Any suggestions?
So there's no difference in sound quality? Any recommendations on new toms?
