I am sadden with the loss of such a great Canadian drummer who contributed 40+ years to the industry. I saw Neil back in 1987 in Ottawa and I was amazed with his drumming. RIP Neil you will be missed...

I have and use Pearl Masters 14x6.5 and has mentioned has a very warm sound to it. Myself like the metal sound better. like NPYYZ says let your ears decide.
