Yeah, I'm not a big fan of plastic sounding heads.
To each his own i guess. My drums have never sounded better!
You have to try these out for yourself. Maybe next time you need new heads?

I really believe that Mapex is leading the way as far as Great affordable kits go.

I'd say lose the bass drum tom mount and go virgin kick and mount those
toms on the rack...but that's just me. Nice Kit!
