I think "True Pitch" means the finer threads, does it not?
Ah, yes... his Concepts are new... so that sounds correct.
And keep in mind if you go to tru-pitch tension rods you're going to have to swap out the lug inserts too. They may come as a package... I don't know.
Beautiful pic though cymbal placement looks as much or more like an artwork than a truly functional instrument.
Very impressive!
Time to rock & roll!
Who's that barbarian babe playing your drums in the last pic?
I ask because nowhere on the website does it say anything about finishes other than to show choices.
Given Mapex's position in the pricing dept. I would tend to believe most or all their finishes...
drummerMD, Are your Saturns' finish a wrap or lacquer over wood/veneer?
I've considered them as an alternative to my 9002's just to move the bass drum to the left beneath the smaller toms so I can lower the 12" upper tom which is naturally the one farthest to the right,...

And your pedal still has the plastic protective wrap on it! You must play in socks or the pic was taken at the initial set up.
Merlin, Are my eyes deceiving me or are you lacking bass drum pedals? Is it just the picture or couldn't you wait to take the pics?
If you haven't bought them yet, that could be another thread...
It is difficult to exactly describe the sound of acrylic drums, and like wood sets, I'm sure different brands differ in sound. But I believe there is a general similarity that covers them all and it...
Really? Your Crushes are quieter than maple? My Fibes are louder... I think.
"show us your snares" informs me arefish's snare is black nickel over brass. Surely it's farther back in this thread as well. Forgive me all.
Matt, your set looks great and short of space...
areFish, The pic is beautiful! I can't tell...is your snare's finish like a "black chrome" or darkish polished finish, or straight chrome or polished whatever reflecting the dark finish of the rest...
