Hard to imagine life w/o drums....however, I have been learning the violin/fiddle....and have learned enough to enjoy it now....so I think I would (and will) stick with it...

just chiming in here....I would have to say that I prefer the double pedal on a single bass....primarily for the purpose of space...and convenience. When set up properly, I feel that the dbl pedal...

My primary is a 15" Stagg DH Classic....just bought a couple of Stagg cymbals in the past couple of months.....I have found them to be rather pleasing to the ears (and the wallet)....they work out...
