crazy idea.
a group of us friends, including drummer, lead guitar, bass, and vocals may be travelling to Europe next spring. we're in the planning stage and considering London, Paris, Dublin, and...
I love it!
I'll be buying a set of bags when I get my new kit, but mostly because I'm breaking the bank on the kit itself lol. maybe a bad excuse, but for the last decade I've hauled my pearls around with no...
wait wait wait... which GC is this? maybe they haven't uploaded it to the GC used inventory website yet? I check that daily. the only white one i've found so far was in Boston, a new 4pc performance...
yeah no joke. go to guitarcenter.com and visit their used gear section, type "DW Collectors" into the search and see what comes up.
I'm still leaning towards a white performance series. not sure...
I find it kinda sickening that the used Collectors kits and there are a lot of them cheaper than the new performance kit i'm shopping, but they are all in wraps which do not appeal to me! lol

I will say I was really shocked how much I liked the Gretcsh Catalina kit, especially for the money. it wasn't perfectly what I'M looking for, but it was really nice. anyone who has it should be...
I'm pretty sure she thinks those are her choices lol. I've been wanting a new kit for a very long time so its not like I said "hey babe I'm going to buy some new drums" and she said "OK have fun!" ...
I think mine is further than 4. I haven't had a chance to tinker with it since this thread as we had a rushed practice friday night and i left my drums at the bass players house, but I'll toy with it...
mine isn't even a drumkey, its a philips screw adjustment. and i noticed you have a ton of holes on your torque/chain adjust. I only ave one on the last notch of the sprocket. weird.
thats perfect, thanks! my 7002's are older and I don't have a slide adjustment like that, instead it has 3 holes but I still can slide it forward closer than it is so I'll give it a try tonight!
...
OK I'll take a look at it again, I had it apart last night and couldn't figure out how to do it without removing the main axle/pin that both beaters are on, but I couldn't figure out how to get that...
my wife thinks I should just go ahead and order it. man.... what a catch 22 lol
wife's blessing....check.
drum availability.... darn. lol
been watching, nothing :(
I took apart my dw 7000's last night to adjust the beater angle and realized I didn't know how. I can adjust the torque, which I think I will by maybe two links, but I'd like the beater to be closer...
played with my double kick today, took it apart, put it back together, realized I didn't know what i was doing. lol
can you guys give me some ideas of how I might scour the earth to see what Performance kits may be available in STOCK anywhere? I just want to poke around and see if I can find ANYONE who may have...
Man I was really looking and thinking back in Jan/Feb but couldnt' get my self to get serious about it (meaning couldn't get wife's blessing) lol.
LOL Congrats! :drumset-3:
for an amazing sound, they have a great name, great hardware and the price range is decent I think. it fills the gap is what I'm finding.
LOL I usually just sweat it out. maybe this fan idea has some potential....
well... just got this from DW LOL
I was just thinking, if the marine white becomes exceedingly difficult to get, couldn't I have a local paint shop apply a pearl coat over the top of the white lacquer like you would car clear coat?...
lol yeah but i've been playing the same kit for like 15 years I'm tired of waiting!! lol
