  1. Re: Foxy Lady-Rocking the Ludwig QuestLove kit & my Pork Pie snare

The drums sound good and you were right on the money. The 3 of you sound good together.

The sticks looked long, are they 17".

Tom, you are kidding right????? At times like that, you go in to kick a$$, not make friends.

    Re: 3 K Paper Shredder

YouTube has become a pain in the a$$ the last couple of years. They said it was in "draft stage". I had it on Public from the beginning. This was not the 1st time this has happened.

Re: What Made You Want to Play Drums?

Damn good question Tom. Wish I had a good answer for you.

When Topsy Pt 2 came out I had been playing for about 2 years and when Let There Be Drums came out I had been playing for about 5 years. ...

Re: Ramones - Cretin Hop - Drum Cover

CBGB's was a fun place to spend a few minutes but it did smell like a Jersey rest stop.

    Shingles Still

If I knew I was going to get Shingles I would have asked for Aluminum Siding.

If you saw my post about this s*** and haven't at least looked in to the vaccine you are being very foolish.

Re: Ramones - Cretin Hop - Drum Cover

Although I'm not that familiar with the Ramones, this was obviously very well played.
  15. Re: Transporting drums to a gig in the back of a pick up truck

Some company ( I believe it was a company called North) came up with this idea.

They look like futuristic toilet bowls.
  16. Re: Transporting drums to a gig in the back of a pick up truck

I'm sure that back then someone said " You know, this here drum fits inside this other drum, which in turn fits inside that drum over yonder".

I would bet that something like that was said...

  18. Re: Transporting drums to a gig in the back of a pick up truck

I always thought that they were called "drums with no reso heads".

That would make a hell of a lot more sense than "nesting" drums.
  19. Re: Transporting drums to a gig in the back of a pick up truck

Bish always was and always will be.................Bish.

We know not from whence he came nor do we know where is is going.

Bish is the "Burning Bush" of DC.
  20. Re: Transporting drums to a gig in the back of a pick up truck

    Must be a Jersey thing.
  21. Re: Transporting drums to a gig in the back of a pick up truck

What is this "nesting" of which you speak?

The last time I was "nesting" I had 3 daughters.

    Re: Last One

Bish I just saw this. To me the P-51 Mustang was 1 of the most beautiful planes ever built.

What a lot of people don't know is that the Ford Mustang was named after the plane not the horse.

    Something Different

I have been a closet guitar player for decades. Nylon string acoustic, soft and mellow. After spending decades in front of Marshall stacks I loved that.

I play finger style ala Classical...
  25. Re: Can anyone recommend some good all round tom heads

In the last 10 years or so, I messed with a lot of different heads and head combinations.

Looking back, the heads (batter and reso) that I really like the sound was Aquarian Studio X clear over...
