This video was requested by someone on Youtube, so I decided to fill there request. This was a drumless track I got off of vicfirth.com. It is For You by Staind, with my own take on the drum part, and I have to be completely honest and say I really love what I did with this song, it kinda shows were I am coming from as a drummer.

That was AWESOME! I've never heard the song before, but that sounded amazing. I actually watched the video then read what you wrote. I didn't know that was actually what you put together for it.

Kev - I say this jokingly, but you sir can go suck an egg!

I was gonna do that song and you beet me to it. LOL!!!

The fact that you totally rocked it out and your drums sound amazingly sick, especially the snare (OMG!) is beside the point. Plus you played it with such energy. Please run your song choices past me in the future.

For the record, I want to do "Fade" when I get my mixer.

All kidding aside Kev, you sounded great, bro.

I checked out the vic firth site for these drumless tracks. They all have a click track embedded. How did you get rid of the click?

Thanks man, I am actually very happy with this vid, it is my personal favorite.

Well when I grabbed mine, it came just like you hear, without the click, and I do remember being able to DL either one with or without the click, but they may have stopped that, I can send it to you if you want, just send me a PM with your email and I will shoot it over.

I looked at Vic Firth's site and didn't see the Staind tunes. Do they change the list frequently?

Oh, and nice job! I had an EC2 on my snare and hated it, but yours sounds great. Wonder if it was how I had it tuned, or simply that it wasn't mic'd.

Just click on the playalong track section on the right side of the main page, scroll down and you will see John Wysocki/pitchshifter, they named the band wrong, but it is staind. There is a whole list of playalong tunes there for free from vicfirth, help yourself.

As far as the head, it is funny you say that, because I hated that snare head on everything I put it on, until I put it on my Yamaha Brass 14x6.5, it's like a match made in heaven.

That snare sound was just wicked. I noticed that the emps are back on over the coated ambassadors as well.

Thanks. Yea I once I put the Emp's on, it was all over, I tried the Amb's, but the sound that comes from those Emp's is amazing, I have found my heads.

    That sounds sweet.

I just noticed that we're in the same state. I'm just north of Bellingham, WA. I'm just getting started after being away for almost 18 years. Nicely done!
