Hi everyone on DrumChat... As newcomers to this site, we are pleased to be acquainted with any of you that might just like our music and have posted some blurb below about what we are about and upto and look forward to checking some of your bands and music out too!

We are Mexicolas a 3 piece rock band based in the heart of middle England here in the UK who like 1000's of other bands are trying our best to put our own stamp and mark on the music world. We had a pretty successful 2008 with the worldwide release of our debut album ‘X’ and having trawled up and down the country touring extensively we were fortunate to be snapped up by (CAA) Creative Artists Agency recognised as the world's most powerful talent agency, who swiftly got us out on the road supporting Daughtry, The Cult & then Filter before performing at UK rock festivals Download, Rockness & Give it a Name at both Earls Court & Sheffield Arena, we were then invited over to the U.S to perform a series of shows at venues across L.A including The Viper Rooms, House of Blues and The Roxy Theatre. From the success of these shows we managed to secure licensing deals with EA Games and had tracks from our debut album included on the games Burnout Paradise and UEFA Euro 2008 and also secured a licensing deal with movie producer Todd Kessler and music was selected and included on the soundtrack of his latest movie titled ‘Keith’. It then became apparent that A&R had been following our progress throughout the year, flying A&R out to both London & L.A to watch us perform live. We were then eagerly invited out to Japan and showcase to sell out shows in Tokyo with American rockers The Offspring, which has now resulted with a recording and publishing deal being offered with Sony/BMG out there. 2008 ended on an even higher note for us with Europe’s biggest selling guitar magazine ‘Total Guitar’ voting our debut album ‘X’ in their top 50 best guitar albums of the year. We are currently back in own recently opened recording studio & home we named ‘The Minerva Suite’ and have started working on our 2nd album and have enrolled our long term fan and friend Dan Sprigg Producer, Mixer & Engineer (Bring Me The Horizon, Lost Prophets, Cradle of Filth, Napalm Death, Ocean Colour Scene, UB40 etc) to work with us again for a planned summer release & tour.

    Good stuff man!
I love music that is 'accessible' but still has good chunky riffs like that.
