    Talking New heads

Well today I went to my local drum shop armed with my print screen on a piece of paper and went and got an internet price match for all the new heads I wanted So I bought...

    10/12/13/16 Remo Ambassador Clear (Reso)

    10/12/13/16 Remo Emperor Clear (Batter)

    22 Evans EMAD (Batter)

All for £135...which is a good deal seeing as most places quoted me at least £150! Anyway, I spent the whole day taking my drums apart, cleaning them inside and out, putting the new heads on and tuning up. Wow. Those babies sound amazing! Pics coming soon when my camera decides to be nice to me

Great choice of heads! I am using Clear G2s as batter heads. However, because of the size of my floor tom (18"), I have a Clear Remo Pinstripe head on there and it takes back a little of its ridiculous low end which is too much without the double ply reso. On the 13", I just have a Clear G1 head.

I have always been a Remo Emp fan.
I am still in search of a durable 2 ply head that wont choke the drum.
I just got a set of Aquarian Response 2s for my toms and a FocusX for the snare. For the kick drum I am trying out an Attack thin skin 3. (for my Pearls)

The Mapexs are sounding sweet with the G2/stock resos! SKll kick
