    Question Live drum sound...

I need to know what sound equipment to buy for my drums to play live concerts. Im dumb when it comes to that stuff.
I know u can hook up ur mics and stuff to a clubs PA.
just tell me what I need to buy, besides mics, to successfully amplify my drums.

in my experience most venues will already have everything you need to mic your drums, you just bring the drums

    Welcome to Drum Chat, singlez.

From the drumset you need to mic whatever you feel is important. Minimally, mic the bass drum, snare and hi-hats. Mic's can either be rim clamped or connected to mic stands. If mixer channels aren't limited, also mic the toms and cymbals. You will want a good combination of Condensor (for cymbals and overheads) and standard mics for everything else. They should all be low impedence, low-Z, XLR type mics and cables.

From there you will usually plug your mic cables into a snake that is on stage and connects back to the soundboard, wherever that is placed. For you, that's all you need.
