Okay, This may be a dumb question, but I'm interested in knowing is there anyway to remove a wrap from a drum set? What is the best way?

It all depends on make. most Japanesse makes and china just use tape so getting wrap off is easy. Some north Am. glue wrap onto shell so you need a heat gun. But still can be done and rewrapped. Just remove heads and all hardware and remove wrap. Most of the wrap companies have videos to show you on there sites

If the current wraps are in good condition than there is no need to remove them. Just buy some wrap that is thin and made to be placed on top of the original wrap, which is less expensive than actual pvc plastic wrap. If the originals are in bad shape, be prepared to work your tail off trying to peel it of your shells. It might just be easy depending on the quality of your drums and if the manufacturer used tape or glue.
A good drummer will sound good on anything(even stock drum heads). A bad drummer will sound bad on anything.

They pretty much covered it... I'd use a heat gun/hair dryer even if they're taped on like Asian drums.
