Default Yamaha Drums... Please Enlighten me!

Okay, I was at Guitar center the other day and this amazing kit caught my eye. It was a Yamaha Oak custom in a grayish finish. My question is

Over the next few years Im gonna be working towards a new kit. I love my swingstars... but if I start gigging more and more I want better drums. Now how are Yamaha drums?

Yamaha Oak Customs are great drums. I read an article about Mike Bordin, drummer for Ozzy Osbourne and used to drum with Faith No More, and he uses Oak Customs. They are great drums, very underrated.

Oak Customs are awesome. They are my dream set. Either that or Tama Starclassic Maple.

Anyways, I believe Neil Sanderson from Three Days Grace uses an Oak Custom.

Fredr, I had a friend that had played for 30 years and he had a set of Yamaha Oak Customs and he loved them. I have heard the sound is "aggressive," but it is also said that it's tone is somewhere between maple and birch. It has a bit more mid-range tone. My best advice it to hear the drums first, since they are not particularly common. make sure they sound right to you.
