progmuso, I don't think you're being blown off, judging from the amount of hits to this thread. I'm assuming that so far no-one knows where to find the software you're looking for. Maybe it hasn't been invented yet?

Hey guys, this is a drummer q+a but i'm not getting any response in that forum. I'm just looking for some downloadable drumming notation software for writing down traditional drumming notation that is able to playback what has been written, pls, any suggestion will be much appreciated

the software exists...the cheapest route is to get Guitar Pro 5 which runs about 60 bucks i think....it's a guitar program so the drum notation it uses isn't quite standard, but it at least allows you to hear your ideas played back...other programs exist but are very expensive...hope this helps
