Yeah, I read the Schmitar cymbals were discontinued, and that they were a sheet-produced cymbal. Which means it was probably B8 alloy, right?

Yohin, might I ask who makes that clutch on your hats? It looks sturdy and designed right.

    Thanks!

I actually don't know. I just walked into GC like a year ago and said hey I need a new hi hat clutch. It was like fifteen bucks and certainly does not come apart every day like my last one did.

I have not tried the hats, but the crashes are KILLER!
All the cut and clarity of their A custom siblings, but with that shimmery ever so slight trashiness! I love this line of Zildjians!

What are your thoughts on the ZHT line? I did a search for ZHT and it said there were no matches. Anyway can someone give me some insight on these cymbals? Thanks!

Better than ZBTs...that's pretty much it. They aren't terrible cymbals but there are better Zildjians out there for sure.

Thanks RHD03! I hit some at GC the other day and they really didn't sound all that bad considering the price but obviousely i've heard better. Money is kinda tight right now and i'm REALLY trying to get away from my B8's. I guess i'll keep saveing my money. Thanks!!

IMHO, ZHTs are better than B8s, but B8s sound better than ZBTs. They are all in the entry level cymbal grouping. But, you have to do what you have to do man. I understand how money can be tight. I started out on ZBTs, and they got me through until I could afford better. If you can wait, save for some As, or A Customs. Buying used cymbals is not a bad way to go...just watch out for certain things, cracks, key holing, scratches in the grooves, rust, etc.

If you have any more ?s I will be happy to help! As I'm sure everyone else on here. Nobody here wants to see someone get screwed on bad cymbal deals.
