    Default Nicks, Scratches, Chips and Oh No's!!

    What would be your repair technique for a situation like this?
    These chips are on my Matador Almond Brown Drum.

    BC, check out the stain area at home depot. They probably have some touch up repair kits that will work for you. You can get custom stain colors mixed too, so you can match it perfectly to the finish, just bring in the drum and the guys at the paint desk can match it for you.

    There's many good vids for touch, here is a pretty good one. In the vid the guy uses a warmer but I'll just brush the stick over a lighter. Hope this helps

    Personally I never fix chips and scratches and such on my instruments. For me each chip, scratch, wear mark and stain is a bit more character to my instrument.

    As the saying goes 'Chicks dig scars' same goes for me and my instruments =)

    I don't know if home depot carries them, the one in the pic are from woodcraft. You can find them on the web.
