They are completely different heads.
I prefer the flexibility and ease of tuning assocaited with the Aquarians I use these days, but for durability, go the Aquarian.
okay so my school kit has some extra heads that r 2 play edge ringed aquarian and we have ambassadors and a pinstripe on the small tom. the resonant heads r ambassador reso. we use it in a jazz band, and i think that the 2 ply heads might make it sound a little a better. my teacher trusts me on tuning (lol thats why we get complemented on our snares lol) so my question is which sound better? oh and its a yamaha stage custom advaantage kit.

They have the potential to sound good yes, provided you have the right choice for the right players and styles, and know a thing about tuning.
Easily as good as the Remos.
If your a good tuner go with the Ambos that way you can full sound of your drums.
