There's a lot to be said for Time Honored tradition and value.

There are plenty of people in here that use Aquarian heads, and love them. As with anything, though, people tend to go with things that they know already, so Aquarian may still be an up-and-comer, but that doesn't mean they don't put out a quality product.

There are the response 2 that ive been hearing good things about. Heard the peformance 2's are not that great. I was told the same thing about the Super Kick. The guy at the music store said he bought one on a whim and loved it.
I have a set of Peavey Radical Pro1000's that im working on. Do you think the aquarins would sound nice on them? I want to try them out but Ive always used Remo.
Also just ordered a set of XS20's, cant wait till they come in!!!!
Thanks guys,

I swear by the Aquarians...
but I'll put it this way, I haven't got a great kit, its a Performance Percussion or PP as you might know it. My drum teacher who has been playing for about 12 years came over to my house, now this guy is a real drumhead (no pun intended), he saw that I had aquarians on my kit, he tuned them up a bit, then he played for a bit and he basically said right...where did you get these I WANT THEM. and so he bought a set of aquarians for his own kit...
What series do you play on?
Aquarian Texture Coated Response 2
Focus-X Snare Drumhead 14 Inches
Classic Clear Snare Bottom
Super-2 Drumheads with Studio X Ring (toms Batter)10,12,14,16
Classic Clear Drumhead Clear (toms Resonant)
Super Kick II Drumhead (BD batter)
Force II Resonant Bass Drum Head (BD Resonant)
Thats what I went with. I put the heads on the 1st 2 toms and I gotta say, WOW. They really do sound nice. Rich full and deep sound. Good bounce and they are not even tuned yet....lol
Once again, thx for the input guys!!!

I absolutely would endorse the SKII for the bass drum and even the reso side.
But for toms, I've had way better results with Evans or REMO.

I am kinda the opposite of Bish in that I use an Evans EMAD on my kick batter/Aquarian ForceII reso and the rest; batters and resos... are Aquarian Response II, Hi Energy batters and Classic Clear resonants.
To answer the question your thread title poses..Yes ..IMHO I like them better than the other big names.
