Very Nice! Are you in the garage? I too have a drum room, but I haven't had to do the sound proofing since it is in the basement.

Yes, it's a small 8x8 room I built somewhat detached within an open garage.

Dude! Sweet setup, I bet your wife likes it too . You should contact LP and see if they have any conga posters they can send you. Or maybe check your local drum stores and see if they have any old ones laying around.

I used to have my own drum room when I was living with my ex, but since we split up I only have one room. My gear is set up next to my bed.

Yes, my wife and 5 kids love it. They don't have to hear dad throughout the house around 8:30 to 10:00pm 4 nights a week.

BongoCajon, I must admit I thought it would be the other way around--with a wife and five kids, you would be unable to hear the drums!

Well now that both of our daughters have moved out of the house, I'm thinking of turning the former girls' room into a combination guest room/drum retreat...will keep an eye out on your ideas and come up with a few of my own.

First thing I gotta do is remove the old NKOTB stickers from the paneling!

BTW, is that your logo? Cool artwork if it is--clever steal if ya swiped it, man!
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

It is not my logo bongobro I did a cut & past. Hopefully, the Conga Room is to busy to care that I put this on my 7/16" wafferboard wannabee entry door into my cardboard, egg-carton room of joy.

    Very nice!

I am luck enough to have a room all to myself. It is not sound proof but I still can do what I want due to the fact that I have a E kit.

At some point I hope to have a place to play with a band and not bother anyone. But for now this will work.

yeh what larry said, that place was supposed to be for the mistress (bike) and right after I got the garage I got the drums and we started the band soooooooo now the band takes up more space than anything. I still have to move all of my tools in there so the wife can use the other shed for storage

fwiw, this is what the mistress looks like when she isnt all rusty, still a work in progress

Awesome retreats! Every man needs a dog house I tell my wife! Ha! Ha! Ha!
Sometimes we go there unwillingly. But if there's drums in that dog house...I can't wait to go! Send me there right now.
