Different Instruments

This is super random but...
Does anyone play anything else besides a percuission instrument?

Not so random as it seems, tarheel! I also sing (if you count the voice as an instrument, which some do) ... and one of my church guitar buddies is trying to get me to play the bass guitar ... truth is, I'll probably learn the bass faster than he could learn the congas

... of course, there was one occasion when our lead guitar was playin' the keyboard (great on both!), I was plunkin' the bass, and the keyboard man was bangin' the congas...he didn't sound that bad, really...better watch my back, bro'!

i played violin for a year, clarinet for 3 years and bass for 2, before finding the drums. also i learned guitar when i was really young but i don't practice much so i've just got basic chords down and a few scales.

I play a little piano, just started this year and can play the entertainer flawlessly
but that took 2 weeks of hard practice. Technically though, i think the piano falls under percussion lol

A couple of years ago I bought a violin, it was something that I always wanted to learn how to play. In the summer I can sit on a lawn chair for hours and saw away at it. My favorite player is Charlie Daniels and I try to learn stuff off of his CD's. It took some time but the dog has even stopped howling while I play so I think I might be getting better at it.
