    im not sure... my set's still kinda new, so i don't know the difference. If you ask me about bass, I don't like resonance, so i put 2 thick blankets in it.

    Yeah, your ears get accustomed to the sound of your kit, so any change will take some getting used to. I changed from clear single ply heads on my Catalina Maple kit to coated Remo Ambassadors, because I wanted to hear a warmer sound. At first I thought I had made a big mistake because I was not used to the sound at all. Now I love it, and I can see applications where the clears would be good, and others where the coated heads would be better.

    Give yourself some time.

    im gonna have to disagree wit u Pastor bob. I changed the head on my snare and actually liked it better and easilly got used to it.

    If it sounds bad then I would tweak it. I would not want to get used to a bad sounding drum. If you like the sound then play on ;-)
