I just picked up a small bottle of 3/1 multi-use oil for my drum lugs. Is this Ok, or is there a >>>SPECIAL<<< lol $100 jar lube I should use?

3 in 1 oil pretty thin and messy. What no bongo jelly? Darn drum will smell like the barber shop now shave & a haircut...

This is something I've wondered about also since reading on this forum.
I've a few bad lugs on the old set what size tap & die are they to clean them up?
What would be the best lube as I know over time most everything dries out and could get a bit crusty...

I use Vaseline on all my lugs have for 30 years, works great. I usually put a very small amount inside the receiver and then run the tension rod in. This spreads it on the threads and does not make a mess.

Use anti-seize. It never dries up and is thick enough to stay where you put it.
