Not sure what the SD1 sticks are........but if they are a big honkin pair of heavy sticks then yes, definately .
The heavier the better . They may be tiring to hold on to for long periods of time but the theory is that the heavy sticks will help build up the hand coordination / stick control making your playing much smoother when you play with your normal sticks .
