    what do you think the best high hat combo is?

    Whichever one you like the most is the best. For me it's 14" AA Medium hat top over 14" AA Medium hat bottom.

    For me currently, it's Sabian HHX 14" Power hats. Great sounding hat. However, I also like Paiste 15" 2002 sound edge and Zidjian 14" K/Z combo. That would be my hi-hat triple threat/trifecta, etc....

    I've just bought myself some 14" A Custom Projection Hats.
    They're replacing my Avedis 14" Mastersounds.

    The best hi-hats are what sounds best to your own ear. Get to a store and try some behind a kit!!

    I just bought me a pair of zildjian 14" mastersound and they are great for any kind of music you wanna play.

    Music stores here won't let you touch their cymbals or drumkits, until you buy them, haha.

    I like the 15" 2002 Sound Edge hats.

    I have tried a lot and Like my Z New beat 15s, and almost all my cymbals are sabian AAX

    I love my Sabian XS20 Medium Hi Hat top and matching Bottom. Apparently they're comparable to the Zildjian A New Beats... Either way I love them!

    I really like Meinl MB20 Heavy Soundwaves. Expensive, though.

    Pearl Vision VSX, Metallic Orange, 6 piece.
    Paiste Crash/ride, Wuhan Splashes, Sabian B8 Hats.
    Now listening to: Mastodon, Rush, Dream Theater, Serj Tankian, Symphony X, Nightwish
    Proud User of DrumDial, Torque Keys, and other such "nonsense". Heh.

    The drumstore here doesn't even tune their kits for display, and are very lenient on letting you hit anything. I personally love the sound of AA hihats of any size, but especially the 14 inch.

    youd be in heaven at guitar center haha. illl be staking out this thread. im looking to upgrade from some free B8 pro's that im rockin right now

    I'm really loving my Meinl MCS 14', i know they are not the best, but they are cheap, cheerful and sound pretty good.

    13" K over a Z is very sweet ....



    currently im using 14" A custom projections ...great rock sound

    I am using the 14" Sabian AA rock sizzle hats.
    LOVE THEM!!!! they have rivets on the bottom cymbal.
    They have a unique sound.
