Update from Frank...

I haven't added anything since I first asked for your prayers because I didn't know what I could add. Today, I had an upper chest CT scan and then met with my Oncologist. What I have is small cell lung cancer that has spread to the liver and spine. Tomorrow, I will have a bone scan, head MRI and then meet with Radiologist for treatment and schedule. The spine will be treated with radiation while the rest of me will undergo chemotherapy...whole body to take care of everything. I will begin chemo this week and for 3 consecutive days: Wed., Thurs, and Friday and then I'll be off chemo for 3 weeks. My main concern is to take the meds to get the pain under control and let the Dr. take care of the other. Success is close to 90% with this but no guarantee it will never return. I am very hopeful and determined to do what it is I must do. I do ask that you continue to offer a prayer for me when you can...it helps, believe me.

Frank, I don't know much about your situation and haven't been close to someone going through it. I do like the 90 per cent prognosis. We will keep you in our prayers as you go through the phases of your recovery.
We here at DC are fairly certain God has some wonderful things planned for you, and this "adventure" will be used in some way down the road to help others, just as Larry is helping you.

Pretty cool stuff, even though a serious subject.

ya.... I never got to meet my grandfather on my dad's side because he had lung cancer and died a few years before I was born...
