Thumbs up Big R Rogers plug

Hi all, in restoring my set i had a newer Big R rack tom that i am using as a floor tom on a snare stand..and i found a item that worked perfectly for plugging the hole that the Memriloc mount left! fit and worked perfectly.only drawback is one mounting screw hole shows a bit.. i know its rare..due to younger guys here on forum...but anyone else that needs this kinda fix ..look me up and i can help.

here is the plug that i came up with. whats nice is this is a snap in pc for the Memriloc hole left when you don't want to use as a mounted tom..like me..i just painted it with Krylon fusion plastic paint and popped it in..and you can always remove it.. only drawback is screw hole at bottom..it doesn't get covered..but thats a small compromise. just hide the hole. any questions for those that are interested let me know.

Just for a joke, had you thought of body plugs, ya know for car bodys. Their are a few size hole plugs.

Maybe one on the inside and one on the outside. Press them together in the center and use a small hot iron of sorts and spot weld the caps together...

The small holes you have you might use a piece of dowel wood in the hole and tack the small plugs to it as you see fit...

Looks good. For the bottom hole........ Get the right sized grommet and just add one more to your drum. So instead of having one chrome grommet, you would have two. On the second one..... just dab a tiny bit of silicone around it and stick it in the hole. No need to make something so permanent you cannot undo it.

Right On, i did think of a grommet plug..probably will do that..i have a small supply of these plugs for anyone interested..not a lot..but if you would like to hide the big hole..let me know. ON WARD!! my project is moving slow, but steady..next picture will be of final completion..just have to save a bit more $$
