I have a 15" K Dark Thin on the left and 17" K Dark Thin on the right, which also compliment each other nicely. But I have recently added a 16" K Dark (not thin) on the far right for a stronger crash. My Go-to crash is the 17".

My main crash has always been my Vintage 70's 17 Zildjian A ( Avedis) but added a 18 K dark thin 2 years ago and use it occasionly. I also use my Vintage 70's 21 Zildjian A Sweet Ride ( crash/ ride) as a crash sometimes.

my primary's are two 18'' Z custom rock crashes. They sound different from each other. I know my hearing is kinda messed up but they do sound different.

Changed things up a bit as far a Crashes go.

I have acquired a few Paiste cymbals. I am using a 2002 22" Crash and a 2002 24" Reverend Al's Big Ride as my crash cymbals with a 2002 24" Ride getting the occasional accent or crash riding. I think the Reverend Al's Big Ride has become my new primary crash for now. I love the way this behemoth sounds.

a 14 inch italian make, no markings save a barely distinguishable made in italy stamp. appers to be roto-cast of b20. really delicate, great bell, explosive and gets out of the way quickly.

Is it maybe a UFIP prototype or one-off? Possibly someone polished the logo away.

Zildjian 16" K Custom Session Crash. Utterly musical and responsive. I love it so much, I believe one of its 18" cousins may soon be put in the right-side position.

Still usually a 16" Paiste Signature Fast Crash.

In danger of being edged out sometimes by a Sabian 18 inch evolution ozone crash, but the effects cymbals can be overused....

Not a prototype, but most likely a pre 1965 UFIP. I have a similar cymbal that came with a 1964 Ludwig Downbeat purchase recently. I was shocked at how good it sounds. Too bad the bell is cracked around the hole...

The attached pic shows the UFIP stamps. Mine has ONLY the circular "Made in Italy" stamp.

18" Sabian SR2 light suspended cymbal. Really low-pitched, dark crash with a quick decay. Other main crash would be a 16" Sabian SR2 Thin Crash. Both of these were formerly HHX cymbals of some kind.

I'm currently running a medium-thin 15" Saluda Glory. Previously it was a 15" A Custom. Anything super-light works for me right above the snare. I usually like the 17" of the same series above the floor tom for a nice pair.

I was a dedicated Paiste2002 player for years but the redesigned A. Zildjians caught my ear and my main crash now in an A. Zildjian 18" Crash/Ride.
It sounds great at any volume. Easily opens up with a gentle hit or give it a good whack.

My main crash for a while was my 18" Sabian AAX xplosion crash, now I have a 19" Meinl Byzance medium thin crash in it's place. I love the sound of the cymbal. It's explosive when hit once, and when you ride it all the hits can easily blend together for a big sound.

A Sabian 19" AAXplosion crash. It's a very versatile and good sounding crash. Had it for 3 years now.

@NedgarAllanPoe -- are you using the 19" for your ride as well?

@Funky -- would love to hear it!

I have several I rotate depending on mood or music. Mostly are various lines of Bosphorus and a couple Agops. I love them all so there's really no favorite.

Like others, I also crash my rides when musically appropriate.
