    Default New drums!

So my school got new drums for the drumline this year. The Snare are Yamaha sFz series snare, and the tenors and basses are field corps series. So me, the two captains, and another member put the stuff together today! the snares and basses were already put together but the tenors and ALL of the harnesses needed to be put together, so we did! But let me tell you these drums are beautiful! They are a black stain with chrome hardware!

God I wish my school had a drumline, all we have is our concert band. My school has one or two drummers who'd like to be in a drumline, not really enough. Maybe someday when I get into a bigger city I'll be able to join one, not that concert band is bad, it's just not the same. Looking at some drum lines on youtube blows me away, especially drum corps.

Dude, my school switched from the pearl junk to the Yamaha's last year. Just opening the boxes and seeing the drums come out of the box was amazing. And we got the black stain too :D it just looks awesome. But tell me, how are the heads? I don't really like the heads all that much. They seem to get out of tune really easily. On bass drum and tenors especially. Snare just sounds kinda off sometimes. It might just be that I hit the drums too hard >.> but I wanted to see if it seems that way for anyone else.

ummm the snare heads i really dislike and the bass heads are cheapy looking, but the tenor heads seem to hold up pretty well the only problem is they mark really easy

hey... the snare heads can be replaced with Remo heads. This is the kind I'm talking about. And the tenor heads are also cool with remos.

Remo heads are awesome. That's what I hope we'll get, since we're probably gonna get new heads. In fact...we probably have some at the school somewhere...

Okay, cool! We have some snares with white heads and some with black. Don't ask me. I have no clue. And it's interesting that you changed the bass heads because we didn't. We're all unique!
