i want this sound

hey guys ive been wanting my snare to sound like the way the snare does in the video below .....would appreciate if you guys could help me out by helping figure out a way to make my snare sound like that, or similiar to it.

id say its a metallic drum, im guessing brass

nickel over brass "supraphonic" style shell, die cast hoops, very pretty drum

generally you can achieve this same sound by deadening or dampening your top and bottom heads with a non sticky type tape like painters tape or gaff tape (very minimal amount, about the size of two quarters). The die cast hoops knock off alot of ring the same way the tape does and the nickel reinforces the sound, no way to cheat that unless you got the money.

what snare(s) do you have? Theres no way you can get anything close with a CB700 haha

i was just checking it out again, what a nice controlled sound that is
