    Talking wow?

I have this science project in school where you have to swab something of yours with a q-tip and then stick it in a incubator to see if mold grows.

    I swabbed my sticks.

Out of about 20 people ( some who did fish tanks and toilet seats) I was the only person to have mold growing in the petri dish the next day. Should I be suprised?

I'm starting to get some wierd looks from my class mates.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I can so see that happening! I feel so gross when i look at my sticks, the finish is worn a way (as well as the words) and in between the wood grains its all dirty lol. every now and then i try to clean them.

It's not that surprising, your hands are the dirtiest part of your body. They accumulate as many germs in a day as the rest of your body does in a week.

Another thing, why would you bother cleaning your sticks? When they get dirty and the finish wears away from sweat and such, you get more girp on your sticks.

    Cool wow?

    Hey, Drum_Fiend, welcome aboard!

Let me say it as tactfully as I can--where do you put your hands during the course of a typical day? Think about it, man--that's why Mom always tells ya to wash your hands!

Seriously, I hope you got a good grade on your science project assignment (or if it was a science fair, at least an honorable mention)...

    cool idea, man!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, man. Thanks for the visual!

Now you've got me thinking. I bet if you did the same thing to a guitar fret board it would be every bit as funky.

ROTFLMBO!!!! Oh, man. That is so funny. Good thing you didn't have a keytar player. He would have passed out, no doubt.

It's a shame he had to move though. not only did I lose a band mate but my jazz band lost a bass player.

Ok I just got a new science project! Take a peice of bread rub it against something of yours then put it in a sealed plastic bag and stick it somewhere warm and dark. I rubbed my drumhead. can't wait to see what mold grows from it.

    You know somethin'?

If you have a buddy who plays hand drums, do the same thing to the drumheads on a pair of bongos or a conga drum that he plays often...that would make a killer comparo...although it could be embarrassing to the hand drummer, given what I first posted...
