feeling natural

ive been playing about a year and a half now and no matter when I set down at the kit,I feel tense and it seems like I have trouble with that instant start or on intros.

Any idea when or how long it will be before I can set down and it just be all natural.

Try practicing 5mins a day for two weeks. Do basic singles doubles and paraddidles at a strict 60bpm. 5mins no more no less! Helps relieve tension in playing. Learned that from Kenny Werner's Effortless Mastery.
