Looks like a 24 to me going by how high the tom is off the floor. I also noticed the Pearl Optimounts on the toms.

Yeah had to, the chrome on those maple toms is metal. The drums are really heavy. All the original mounts were getting stress cracks, so I plugged the holes with carrage bolts and put optimounts on them. That did the trick.

You always hear about members putting down Optimounts because of the size of the tubes etc. I say they are sturdy and will carry the weight of any size drum . I am glad that you have mentioned your reason for using them. Hope other bias Optimount members see this. I use them and love them best system out there IMO

Nice looking chrome Slingerlands. I finally got a smooth white head and logo for my Red 72 Slingerland's. As a four piece set up. I actually like the single tom setomatic tom holder. Hate the double tom holder. Will never use it.

Thanks late, I had no choice but to modify. Those toms are so heavy because of the chrome finish. They put stress cracks in the stock mounts.

Any idea what year these are? I have two Slingerland 14" silver toms just like this from the late 60's. You have an awesome kit here!

yeah, those look great. I threw some of those black Evans Onyx heads on them and they look awesome against the chrome. If you ever want a change...

Picked up this RK bass drum turned foot stool at an antiques {and junk} store a bit ago. 22 x 14, rare size in this vintage. $50.00. Only 4 screw holes done to it in the conversion. A little putty and sanding will put it back to factory edges. If anything would happen to the original, this set will play on. Been using them as my main gigging set.....

Here is a photo of my 1975 Slingerlands. They were my primary kit for years, I can't even guess how many gigs I did with them back in the 1990's up until I bought my DWs in 2008. They were relegated to being my practice kit for a few years until I bought several more kits, then I put them away.

This past summer I dug them out of storage and used them for their first gig in years. Alas, I didn't take a photo of them set up that day.

There is a fun story that goes with this kit as well.

Hello fellow Slingerlanders. I'm new here.
Attached is a shot of the current state of my new (to me) Slingerland kit. Classic black diamond pearl of course.

These drums will rise again over the next few months, using Pearl optimounts and floor stands to avoid any more trauma to the drums. At least that's the plan.
I'll post more when there's progress.

    Hey there.
As soon as my post with picture is moderated (and hopefully approved - it was drum pron not real pron for heaven's sake) I will be able to officially join your illustrious ranks.
    Until then... play on.

Oh... there it is (previous to this).
    As you were.
