Nice effort SadikOne1! You show some good stuff there. There seemed to be a couple of places early on where the timing was not completely smooth, unless you were intentionally throwing in a rest, as you did later on. All in all, I thought you did extremely well, and to put your stuff out there and ask for critique is gutsy and cool! WTG!

Very cool stuff man!! I'm a fellow lefty as well, but in the matched grip style- you are the 1st lefty I've seen use traditional grip! Way to go man, it looks very difficult... I can sorta feel it in my left hand (traditional grip) but I would never play that way! Are you taking lessons?
    Good Stuff regardless!

hey sadikone, I just watched all 3 of your videos... great job!

On the first one, I agree with PB that your timing was awkward in places, but other than that I thought you had great feel and great beats. My favorite groove was the cowbell groove in the middle of the video.

Now, I really liked the 2nd and third videos! The mozambique rhythm was real neat. The afro-cuban drumming was very different and I thought it was really good... sounded really cool, and seemed to invoke lots of different emotions. excellent job. Plus, you stayed right on time in these two videos

    nice job sadik

right on dude! i have also never seen a left handed drummer play traditional sticking on a kit. very nice chops man, and the kit looks beautiful.

man its so handy to be able to look back at your videos and see where you make mistakes! definitely makes learning to overcome said mistakes alot easier.

with that said, I'm working hard on my timing and coordination and as far as the mozambique, i think i have it nailed to the point where i can move my hands around the kit. but i gotta tell you guys, when you get the cowbell and the ride going..its really nice and groovy!

imm gonna start covering songs now in many genres. gotta open my mind to all sorts of music!

thanks for all the feedback guys! i really appreciate it!

I liked it . Also try moving your HI Hat a little closer and see if it is more comfortable for you seems little to far away. IMHO

    =] thanks!

well the hit hat is not more than 8 inches away from the snare but i think I should move it closer. but since its attached to the rack (i took one of the legs off for room for my old ICs) positioning is tricky

thanks for the comment tho =]
