Default 32nd Notes Are Killing Me...Help

I'm having a really hard time feeling how 32nd notes work. I can hear them in my head. I can play them on my legs with my hands. But when I get sticks in my hands with a practice pad...I'm stuck at 16th notes. What can I do?

Slow down. If you start slow enough, from quarters, to eighths, to sixteenths, to 32nd's, it shouldn't be a problem. By starting at a slow tempo than working your way up, you should be able to learn them in no time.
A good drummer will sound good on anything(even stock drum heads). A bad drummer will sound bad on anything.

Starting out slow and building up as suggested by Rev is the key to all your drum learning .

I think the other thing you have going against you too is the fact that youre playing it out on your leg and then trying to duplicate the same thing with a practice pad............youre feeling 2 totally different types of rebound and I think its throwing your timing off .

Try using the pad doing it slow and get a little faster each time , like Rev D said.....it will get easier .

Has anyone suggested slowing down yet? HA! Yeah man like said above yes slow down, take it easy. They'll come. And yes 32 notes are technically a drum roll at an average tempo.
