Slow down. If you start slow enough, from quarters, to eighths, to sixteenths, to 32nd's, it shouldn't be a problem. By starting at a slow tempo than working your way up, you should be able to learn them in no time.

A good drummer will sound good on anything(even stock drum heads). A bad drummer will sound bad on anything.
my Gosh, isn't 32nd notes a drum roll??
Enjoy the Music!

Starting out slow and building up as suggested by Rev is the key to all your drum learning .
I think the other thing you have going against you too is the fact that youre playing it out on your leg and then trying to duplicate the same thing with a practice pad............youre feeling 2 totally different types of rebound and I think its throwing your timing off .
Try using the pad doing it slow and get a little faster each time , like Rev D said.....it will get easier .

RIP Frank.............thanks for being part of my journey
Has anyone suggested slowing down yet? HA! Yeah man like said above yes slow down, take it easy. They'll come. And yes 32 notes are technically a drum roll at an average tempo.
I'm having trouble counting them too but as the above posters say slow down!
