HAHAHA that must have sucked. I've had my schools floor tom slide down the legs till it was pretty much on the floor, but never the whole set fall over haha.
I really wish that we could actually show the pictures in here...
lol that sucks.
My jazz band plays that exact song.Jammin' with Charlie I think
Exept our trumpets and other glowy instruments(brass?) don't suck as much.
Band: System of a Down
Song: Atwa
Current: four way independence
Ouch, that must've been embarrasing. I've had toms slide around because of no carpet underneath the drums... But nothing to this extent.

"Music is always an experiment."
very embarassing
lol, thats one of those things that happens to everyone, except not as bad as that XD
I have to hand it to the dude--he kept right on playin' even though the set was falling to pieces around him...of course the support team (the girl who comes on-stage to help) was a bit of motivation unto itself ...
I nearly lost it when the guy on the left in the video begins cleaning his ear (he didn't play that badly!)...
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

Sompthing like that actualy happend to me.Well my Band was playing a School Talent Show,And I forgot my Drum Rug (SLICK WOOD FLOOR)...The Autotorium was supost to be like a Dancing thing so I guess they liked the floor real slick.Anyways when we were in the middle of playing my Bass drum kept sliding...I kept playing..But sounded horrible because I was loosing the Double bass pedal because it was coming un attached to the Bass drum.I kept playing even after the bass pedal came off.I was sooo embarrased....No one even bothered to come help me.Well I just thought I was share my little story.I will ALWAYS bring my Drum rug no matter if they already have one lol...

What the hell? Did the hardware just give in or was it not properly set up to begin with?
I'm guessing the bass pedal wasn't tightened enough, I've had it happen to me before when I haven't checked how tight the clamp is.

ya we were playing at a gig once....before a load of metal acts and we aren't metal for the record more like rock or some thing....so the metal bands drummer tightened the tom legs onto the smooth part instead of the grip part....half way through the second song the bloody thing fell apart on our drummer making him look like a complete ****!! so i played the irish national anthem to cover it...http://www.purgatorycork.com/photoga...p?photo_id=426
Why would they tighten the Floor Tom on the smooth part?

um could have been intentional but it could have been an accident....
the metal band drummer is fairly serious about his music so he probably didn't like us....no revenge was had...apart from some light hearted name calling.....i'm sure we took home a few guitar leads by accident of course.....heheheh
Thats just a shame.. you no.

That was funny. But I feel his pain. Had my own moment on local cable access quite a few yrs ago. Just had moved up from hats and snare to full kit. Had a "solo" on this one song. Just as the camera went to a closeup from the hi hat side, I dropped a stick, it rolled all the way across the snare , bounced over to the floor tom and rolled all the way across it. Then landed on the uncarpeted floor w/ a loud clatter. Went out on the air, naturally.
Gotta give the guy credit. He kept going as long as he could.
