Hey guys I am new here and I have a question about recording drums.
Ok so I am going to be recording drums and guitar. I have the guitar recording part down, I need to know what is a good budget mics I could use on drums preferably a pair of mics for stereo overheads, a mic for the kick, and I am thinking of a SM57 on the snare. What do you guys suggest?

Thank you Russ I will look into them.

    Anyone else have any suggestions?
What do you guys think work better Drum mic kits or different microphones?

For budget mics you can't go wrong with the fusions. I like an audix D6 for the bass and a subkick mic and for the snare I like the audix i5. Pencil condenser mics for the overheads are the way to go and sm57 can do fine on the toms, however like Russ said get the fusion kit and be done with it until you want to dive in deeper into the mic world.
