Brob89, the problem is that the sounds of the kit are embellished by microphones and an equalizer. Apart from that, it would be very hard to duplicate the sound.
I was watching this Conan, and The Dead Weather was the musical guest, i was wondering how to get my snare to sound like White's? Thanks

Brob89, the best suggestion that I could give is that the snare looks like a 14" and is probably 5" deep. It also sounds like the heads are cranked up pretty tight, and probably has something like a Remo Ambassador batter head, because the snare is ringing out pretty well, so there isn't any overtone control.
Just my thoughts. Let's see what others think.

His snare was custom made for him. It's a 16" snare, exactly the same size as the rack tom he has in front of it.
